Ishan Kishan created history in the Duleep Trophy 2026 final as the East Zone captain produced a sensational 250 against South Zone at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
After ending the opening day unbeaten on 111, Kishan continued his dominant batting display on Day 2. He completed his double century off 270 balls, with 26 fours and two sixes, becoming only the fifth batter in Duleep Trophy history to score 200 or more runs in a final.

Kishan's double century placed him alongside an elite group of batters who have achieved the feat in a Duleep Trophy final.
His 200 also became a significant milestone for East Zone. He is the first East Zone batter to score a double century in a Duleep Trophy final, adding another record to his outstanding innings.
The left-handed wicketkeeper-batter eventually went on to score 250 from 301 balls, including 27 fours and seven sixes, before retiring hurt. His score was the 12th-highest individual innings in Duleep Trophy history, while Raman Lamba's 320 from the 1987 final remains the tournament's highest individual score.
Kishan's 250 Puts East Zone In Command
Kishan's marathon innings came at a crucial stage of the final. East Zone had already made a strong start on the opening day, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Abhimanyu Easwaran and Shikhar Mohan making valuable contributions.
